While the original Kreuzberg roastery established the brand’s rustic aesthetic, this outpost on Kollwitzstraße feels decidedly more streamlined. Opened in 2020, the space is compact and modern, functioning less as a sprawling lounge and more as a focused delivery system for the roaster's high-grade beans and famous baked goods.
Inside, seating is scarce. A few tables line the room, but the limited capacity means the energy often shifts to the sidewalk terrace. On weekends, the queue can stretch out the door, with locals and visitors waiting for single-origin pours and cold brew. If you do manage to snag a seat, you’ll likely find yourself sharing the space with neighborhood dogs and piles of German newspapers.
The counter service is precise, handling a rotating selection of seasonal coffees sourced through direct trade relationships. However, the coffee often plays a supporting role to the bakery case. The Philadelphia-style cheesecake is the primary draw here – a dense, creamy staple that anchors the menu alongside carrot cake and croissants. Given the tight quarters, it is common to see patrons carrying their orders over to the nearby Kollwitzplatz rather than waiting for a table to clear.
