The entire 3,000-square-meter facility at Space Shack is built around a simple idea – that different kinds of work require different kinds of space. Located on Akazienstraße in Schöneberg, the interior is modern and spacious, with a bright, airy feel and architecture that creates distinct zones for specific tasks. You’ll find designated quiet areas for focused work, set apart from the more open, collaborative “loud” zones where conversation is expected. Scattered throughout are phone booths for private calls and a “Hangout Hub” for breaks.
Access is designed to be flexible. You can get a day pass for a hot desk, sign up for a monthly membership with a fixed spot, or rent a private, lockable office for a full team. For members, access is 24/7. The place also functions as more than just a collection of desks. It houses multiple meeting rooms and a large event venue that are regularly booked for external conferences, workshops, and masterclasses by non-members. A popular service is the virtual office, which allows businesses to use the address for registration without needing a physical workspace.
An outdoor terrace and garden area provide another spot to work or take a break, especially on warmer days. The community kitchen is always stocked with free coffee and tea, and regular events like a “Community Lunch” are part of the routine. The whole space is also pet-friendly, so it’s common to see a few dogs around.
