Sprawling, tropically-themed water park centered on a 500,000-gallon wave pool and a lazy river. The concrete gets hot – bring swim shoes and stay for the dive-in movies on summer nights.
The massive slide structures of White Water are a fixture along Branson’s main thoroughfare, West 76 Country Boulevard. The park is a 13-acre, tropically-themed complex designed to be a "beach within reach," with two million gallons of water spread across its attractions. Inside, the layout is a network of concrete pathways that connect the main features – a large wave pool, a lazy river, and dedicated kids' areas. The one thing to know is that these concrete surfaces get incredibly hot in the sun, so swim shoes or flip-flops are essential. The park’s center of gravity is the 500,000-gallon Surf's Up Wave Pool, which is surrounded by lounge chairs that fill up quickly. From there, you can find the Aloha River, an 800-foot-long lazy river that winds past misters, geysers, and a 30-foot tiki tower. For thrill rides, the main draws are KaPau Plummet – which starts with a 70-degree, 40-foot drop – and the Kalani Towers complex, which has a set of side-by-side freefall slides. A separate area, Coconut Cove, is designed specifically for younger children with multi-lane slides and water spray features in a shallow pool. Securing a shaded lounge chair is the first order of business for many, so arriving early is a good strategy, especially since outside food is not permitted. Private cabanas are also available to rent for a guaranteed spot out of the sun. You can leave your footwear at the base of the slides before you climb up. On select Friday and Saturday evenings, the park stays open late for "Night Water" events, which include Dive-In Movies shown on a large screen at the wave pool.
