Trillium Café & Inn is set behind a small Victorian building just off Main Street in Mendocino. A tented garden patio runs along the side and back, with heaters, lap blankets, and roll-down panels for colder days. Indoors, the café stays compact, divided into a few wood-trimmed rooms with a low-key layout.
The menu runs seasonal with a farm-to-table focus — vegetable galettes, housemade gnocchi, prawn and avocado sandwiches on local sourdough, and Point Reyes blue cheese salads layered with fruit and toasted hazelnuts. Desserts rotate regularly, often including coconut lime cake or bourbon pecan pie.
Garden tables are spaced widely under the tent, surrounded by planted beds and seasonal touches like pumpkins in the fall. Dogs are allowed in the outdoor seating area, and the setup stays casual year-round.
A small inn operates upstairs, but the café runs independently with separate hours and entrance.
